A team of scientists from the University of Ulm, located in southwest Germany, report that resveratrol shows potential as a fat-fighting supplement, by both preventing weight gain and stopping some of the health problems caused by obesity.
In this cell-based study, researchers concluded that resveratrol inhibited the pre- fat cells from increasing and prevented them from converting into mature fat cells. Resveratrol also reduced the cells’ production of certain proteins linked to the development of obesity-related disorders, such as Type 2 diabetes and clogged arteries. Furthermore, resveratrol stimulated the production of a metabolism-regulating protein, called adiponectin, known to decrease the risk of heart attack. Those who are obese are generally adiponectin deficient.
“Resveratrol has anti-obesity properties by exerting its effects directly on the fat cells,” said Pamela Fischer-Posovszky, a pediatric endocrinology research fellow at the university’s diabetes and obesity unit. “Resveratrol might help to prevent development of obesity or might be suited to treating obesity.”
The dosage of resveratrol used in the study is equivalent to consuming several bottles of wine, suggesting that supplements would be more effective than wine consumption in fighting fat. And the effects of the resveratol were dose-dependent, meaning the more resveratrol used, the better the results. Wine also contains sugars which are counteractive in preventing fat from being stored in the body.
A supplement like Symmetry Direct’s Genesis is a VALUABLE tool in the fight against fat and many other things. Genesis is a standardized anti-oxidant drink that has 1 bottle of wine’s worth of resveratrol in every one ounce serving. The suggested use is 1-4 ounces daily. For generally healthy people, 1 to 2 ounces daily is great preventative maintenance. Genesis is a realatively inexpensive product guaranteed to have great results (or you can get your money back.see link Live Better With Symmetry for details). For about $1 a day, you can start your way to better health and longevity.

Carmel Mizrachi…
There is no Chablis grape. Chablis is a growing region inside the Burgundy growing region of France and a true Chablis wine is a Chardonnay which MUST come from Chablis, France….
Carmel…I don’t recall mentioning a Chablis grape. Resveratrol occurs in all grapes, some types have more than others but they all have it none the less.
