About two years ago, at age 22, I was diagnosed with Leukemia (cancer of the blood). Before being diagnosed, I would go to the gym but couldn’t work out because it was hard for me to breathe. I was tired all the time and my appetite decreased where I would only eat once a day. I lost a lot of weight but didn’t really realize I was not healthy. I was actually taking energy pills just to get to the gym and work out. Then I got very sick. I passed out at home and the paramedics had to knock down the door to get to me. If I hadn’t reached the hospital when I did, I would have died. I was literally bleeding to death. I had to go through chemo-therapy and fight for my life. And I feel great! I go to the gym regularly and I have so much energy! My appetite is back, I eat all the time. My immune system is 100% back to normal. I get a blood test done every week, my red and white blood cells are back to normal. I have to get a bone marrow test every 3 months (uggh!), but it comes back good each time!
