About

imageHi! My name is Lisa. I am a FIREY 5′2″ wife, mother (daughter 12, son 10), sister, daughter, and friend. I spent  8 years as a stay-at-home mom to my two wonderful children.  When my son went to kindergarten 5 years ago, I went back to school too. It took  3 years to complete my Bachelor’s of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies.

When I started school I weighed 160 pounds and wore a size 12, which was down from the previous few years where I had reached a size 14 and weighed 175 lbs.

imageI tried weight watchers and exercised (well, what I thought constituted exercise) and did get rid of 15 pounds, but only 1 size.   I was so unhappy with myself that it started to trickle into the other parts of my life that I set out on a mission;one that I still haven’t completed.  For a long time I wondered if I was crazy not to be happy that I am now a size 3 and 134 lbs, but my journey has brought me to so many new places, shown me so many more things, and placed so many WONDERFUL people in my life that I am happy not to be done yet. And if I never get to the goal I have in my head, I know that my life has been enriched in so many more ways than looks. A big part of that journey has been to become a healthier me and make my family healthier in the process as well. Nutrition as a way of life and as a healer has become a huge passion of mine.

I would love to become a certified nutritionist, but can not afford it at the moment. But the journey of learning never ends. I love to do research and I enjoy learning all the new information I can to help myself, my family, and others. So, for now I will be continuing my education in pursuit of a teaching credential to teach elementary school. But I tell myself that teaching is my stepping stone to my dream.and that dream may change. For now, it is to change people’s lives for the better, to teach them to live healthier which will ultimately make it longer. This journey also put me in touch with a fabulous company that has THE BEST vitamins and nutritional supplements on the market. I have helped so many overcome pain due to illness and genetic problems, as well as help they and their families become healthier. It has been the most rewarding part of life next to my hubby and kids. I firmly believe that my calling is to help people feel better about themselves while making themselves healthier.

Here is my progress to March 2009:
